helping build confidence, independence and practical life skills .
Who We Help
We work with families and children throughout Australia with toileting issues, continence issues, and daily living skills to build confidence and independence.
Common continence and toileting concerns include delayed toilet training, bedwetting, constipation, toileting refusal, and bowel & bladder incontinence.
Common developmental and functional concerns include emotional regulation and wellbeing, sensory processing and integration, fine and gross motor coordination, play and social development, attention and executive functioning, and school readiness and participation.
We have experience working with neurotypical children and a wealth of experience working with children who are neurodiverse and have diagnosed disabilities.
Our goal is to support each child to build confidence, independence, and the skills they need for daily life.
How We Help
We work closely with families to support their children to achieve their goals through our expert care and collaborative approach to therapy. We provide a caring and supportive environment which allows us to gain a good understanding of their concerns, and connect with them to understand the bigger picture.
We offer Continence Assessments Australia-wide via telehealth, along with physiotherapy and occupational therapy services. In-person therapy sessions are also available in the clinic, home, school, or daycare.
We pride ourselves in the quality of our NDIS reports. It is important to us that we provide you with quality evidence to request appropriate NDIS funding for therapy and continence needs as we understand personally how stressful review time can be for families.

How We Work
At our clinic, we take a comprehensive approach to providing physiotherapy and occupational therpay specifically for children. Kids Continence Services can be done by telehealth or face to face. Paediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapay sessions can be both telehealth or ‘in-person’ and ‘hands-on’
Telehealth Assessment
We believe that it’s beneficial to chat to you as parents and carers to understand the history of your concerns, your child’s background and the individual factors involved. Telehealth is a great platform to enable a thorough initial assessment no matter where you are in Australia.
We work closely with families to understand what treatments and strategies have already been tried, what worked, and what didn’t.
From here, we plan face to face sessions or develop a realistic plan.
Face-to-Face Consultation
If a face to face Kids Continence consultation is possible, we can arrange in-person sessions with you and your child. This helps us gain a deeper understanding of the factors involved that may be impacting their toileting independence.
Paediatric physiotherapy and occupational therpay assessments and treatment sessions are both by telehealth or in-person and can be arranged in the clinic, at home or in the daycare / school setting.
Develop a Realistic Plan
From there, we work with the family to develop a plan that is realistic. This often includes implementation of strategies to assist with continence issues, physiotherapy or occupational therapy sessions, referrals to medical practitioners for further investigation if required, and involvement of the child’s therapy team to ensure that we are all working towards their goals.
We know that this is a journey, and we are here to provide ongoing support along the way.
